The Christmas Compromise

FALSE RELIGION BEGAN WITH A TREE AND A SNAKE
The Christmas Compromise
It All Began With A Tree And a Snake

Look at the garland
Look at the Tree
Imagine a snake
and what do you see ?

The snake drapes and slithers
and slips round the bend
Like garland that decorates
the tree in your den

Coiled around
in a slight curvy way
Like the garland on Fir Trees
that you see Christmas day

Oh but he’s clever
in camoflauge wear
he’ll wrap round your tree
but you won’t see him there

FALSE RELIGION BEGAN WITH A SNAKE AND A TREE AND SATAN STILL USES TREES TODAY

He wrapped himself around a tree
like garland on a vine
pretending to be a Friend of hers
entangled and entwined

around the trunk and past the branch
and perched upon the leaves
He spoke his famous lies to her
in order to deceive

He feigned a voice that talked aloud
From the mouth of that old snake
the words he shared in trickery
were false with promise fake

And since those days of Eden Time
the serpent’s still around
Still using trees and trickery
to take all mankind down

A TREE AND A SNAKE

Don’t Look in belief
of all that I say
Check for yourself
about Christmas Day
The gods of galore
the elves of cement
the witchcraft and myth
all mar this event
With hidden blind symbols
that harbor great lies
That all masquerade
with Satan inside
For Jehovah is God
and Christ is His son
But Satan is Jealous
of all they have done
He’ll steal all their glory
and take you away
From the purest of worship
to his dirty decay
He’ll rob you of closeness
to the true God Above
He’ll destroy all the truth
of Jehovah’s Great Love
Stand Firm for Messiah
And hold close to his way
And the hope that he gave you
Don’t throw it away

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A “TREE”

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A TREE

How ironic that the very first rebellion against
Jehovah God – involved a Tree.   In the Garden
of Eden – Satan perched himself upon a Tree
and performed a Ventiloquist Miracle – using
a snake as a puppet.

And over the next thousands of years, mankind
continued to rebel against Jehovah God, using
Trees in their Religious Services.

Peoples of many Lands have not only worshipped
Trees, but they have even worshipped the “Spirits”
that supposedly lived within these trees.

It is common for Witches and Pagans to perform
some of their most sacred ceremonies in the groves
of Trees.   There is ample historical evidence to show
how many different religious groups around the
World have used Trees in their worship.

The Bible has scriptures in which Jehovah God has
repeatedly condemned the use of Trees in idolatrous
worship.  He had commanded His people over the
ages – to pull the offensive trees down – that were
used in worship of the many gods and goddesses
of Pagandom.

And then we have “Christendom” – who has adopted
the “Tree Worship” of the pagans.   The origin of
why they place gifts at the foot of an evergreen
tree has been obscured from their minds.

And even now, around the world – people are making
gift offerings under a tinsel tree – every Dec. 25th.

Tree Worship Adopted by Christendom

Tree Worship

In wintertime they thought the gods
lived inside the trees
And so they placed their offerings
their pagan gods to please.

Now Christendom has followed them
to copy what they do
placing gifts beneath the branch
It’s nothing all that new

The coldness of December
has caused most trees to freeze
in dormant hibernation
except for certain trees.

Yes certain fir-like evergreens
stay green the whole year round
The pagans thought that this must be
a place for holy ground

And so they take the evergreen
and place it in their home
to decorate and worship it
a custom so well known

There’s nere a place around the world
that doesn’t worship trees
and offer gifts beneath its bough
as placed on bended knees

It All Began With A Tree

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A TREE COLLAGE

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A “TREE”

Satan curled himself upon the limb of a
tree in his attempts to deceive Eve into
disobeying God.  He convinced her that the
fruit of a certain tree – was very desirable
to look upon.  In time, he succeeded in
tricking her into eating the fruit of that
tree.

All those who follow Satan’s lead in rebellion
against Jehovah God have taken tree veneration
as one of their major forms of worship.

“It was and still is in many parts of Europe
the custom to go out to the woods, cut down a
tree and bring it into the village, where it is
set up amid general rejoicings; or the people
cut branches in the woods, and fasten them on
every house. The intention of these customs is
to bring home to the village, and to each house,
the blessings which the tree-spirit has in its
power to bestow.”
-Relics of Tree Worship in Modern Europe
The Golden Bough.  1922.
Sir James George Frazer (1854–1941).

“Places for worship of Baal were often
high places in the hills consisting of an
altar and a sacred tree.  Teachings of
“Sacred Trees” were not exclusively limited
to Babylon, Assyria and Baal Worshippers.
These customs were widespread throughout
many ancient cultures.”
-Source: Mythology by Edith Hamilton

“The practice of tree worship has been found
in many ancient cultures. Often, trees were
brought indoors and decorated to ensure a good
crop for the coming year. Trees have also been
linked to divinity.  Egyptians associated a tree
with the god Baal-Tamar, while the Greeks and
Romans believed that the mother of Adonis was
changed into a fir tree. Adonis was one of her
branches brought to life.”

TREE WORSHIP IN CHRISTMAS

“The Christmas tree is specifically a Babylonian symbol.

On Christmas Day there is the tree, covered in

The EVER-Green Tree
small trees dividersmall trees divider

The evergreen was their favorite tree to use
for their idolatrous rites, since it remained
green all year round – which to them was indicative
that a god was living within it.

Yes, while all the other trees appeared to die
in the bitter cold of winter, the evergreen
appeared unaffected by the freeze and remained
green and vibrant.

The cruel winters gave the pagans reason to
try to appease the tree gods.  They longed for
a mild winter, and looked to the tree dwelling
gods to help them.   Gifts were traded for these
favors or requests.

Thus, they decorated the evergreen trees
as a way of honoring the indwelling tree spirits.
They also placed gift offerings beneath the branches
at the foot of the trees,  as tokens of good will
in their efforts to please the god of the tree.

Like a sacrifice upon an altar to their gods, the
gifts were offered as appeasement to the evil spirits.
But instead the altar was a “TREE”.

Yes, the very object of rebellion was now being placed
in a position of honor and veneration..

Yes, they placed gifts at the foot of the evergreen
trees, in their form of worship, as offerings to
the spirit gods that lived within the tree.

And just as Satan had hoodwinked Eve into obeying
him, he also tricked the early pagans into doing
the same.

“Pagan Germans were tree worshipping people.
Like the old Romans they prized evergreen trees
as a sign of life in winter time. Branches were brought inside
to give shelter to the wood spirits who dwelled in these trees.
Sometimes small trees were brought inside.”
– Merry Christmas, A History of the Holiday;

The Tree is the “CENTER”
of Christmas –  Why ?

The Spirit Within The Tree

TREE SPIRITS WERE VENERATED BY ANCIENT PEOPLES BY ADORNING THE TREE

“evergreen tree worship survives
in the adoration of the Christmas Tree.
People the world over venerate the tree.
The veneration of tree spirits, has been
an important feature of Asian cultures.”
-Pole-Spirits North and South
(Santa Claus and the Origin of
the Christmas Tree)
by Patrick Harrigan;
researcher and journalist
“TO the Nordic people of Scandinavia,
any tree that did not ‘die’ by losing
its foliage through the bitter cold of
the long freezing winters was considered
to be harboring a tree-spirit of unfailing
life. Appropriately called ‘evergreens’,
it is not surprising, therefore, that
evergreen trees are adopted for use as
Christmas trees.”
-Pole-Spirits North and South
(Santa Claus and the Origin of
the Christmas Tree)
by Patrick Harrigan;
researcher and journalist

“Pre-Christian Europe, where trees and
forests were especially venerated, was
a veritable hotbed of tree worship,
and remains so to this day in one form
or another. The cult of the tree was
especially prevalent among the early
Celtic and Nordic peoples of western
and northern Europe respectively.”
-Pole-Spirits North and South
(Santa Claus and the Origin of
the Christmas Tree)
by Patrick Harrigan;

“Celtic wizards or magicians, called
druids, selected sacred tree groves
as the best sites for their esoteric
ritual performances. Oak and ash trees
were felt to be especially powerful as
bearers of magical wisdom.”
-Pole-Spirits North and South
(Santa Claus and the Origin of
the Christmas Tree)
by Patrick Harrigan;

“The proximity of Christmas to the
time of the winter solstice was no
accident and served to identify certain
pagan beliefs and practices with
Christian themes. Thus, winter
solstice-time rites of the evergreen
tree easily evolved into those of
the modern Christmas tree.”

What about today ?

Has Satan once again tricked people
into giving gift offerings to a tree ?

Millions upon millions of human beings
delightedly gather around their “Christmas trees”
each year, without the slightest knowledge
whatsoever of the utterly pagan, and demoniacal
origin of the custom!

Christmas Dividers
 A  Mockery
Christmas Dividers

What a mockery upon God and what contempt
for mankind – that Satan has coerced
people to honor and venerate a tree !
Even in their ignorance, Christendom
gives glory to the very thing that caused
Adam and Eve to lose eternal life.

Yes, look at the Christmas tree with
it’s sparking lights and glorious tinsel.
Even the star upon the top gives elegance
like a crown,  as if it were a King on
a pedestal to be exalted and glorified.
And the gifts which are said to be given
to Christ – are really being presented to a tree
beneath it’s very Feet.

TREE WORSHIP IN CHRISTENDOM

And those who place the gifts there, must
get upon their knees in order to place the gifts
beneath the spreading branches of this evergreen god.

As much as people may deny it – they are still acting out
an age-old custom of tree worship.  They never stop and
think of why the presents cannot go on a Table, or on
anwhere else – but they must be placed beneath the
tree – in much the same way that pagans have placed
their gift offereings to their pagan gods – beneath their
Feet.

DECORATING TREES GOES WAY BACK TO ANCIENT TIMES

“Virgil, the Roman poet, speaks of decorating
pine trees in honor of Bacchus, the god of drinking
and revelry.”
-The Origins of Christ-Mass
By G.V. “Rene” Growcott

Customs have been preserved in practically
every part of the world of hanging objects
upon trees in order to establish some relationship
between the gift giver and the tree. Tree
worshipers, believed that their sacred trees
contained the spirits of all sorts of gods.

DECORATING THE CHRISTMAS TREE

“The decorating of an evergreen tree was part of
the worship of Tammuz or Baal, the Sun-god of ancient
Babylon. Through the Church of Rome – the Babylon of
the Apocalypse – this act of Baal-worship has been
handed down through the centuries. Deluded Protestants,
by setting up Christmas trees in their homes, schools
and churches, are guilty before God of upholding and
perpetuating a practice peculiar to the worship of Baal.
How can anything connected with the worship of Baal
be pleasing to the Lord?”
–The Pagan Origin of Christmas; A Reminder
Rev. William MacLean (1907-85)

“the male reproductive organ was of tremendous
importance in the Mystery Religions representing,
no doubt, power and fertility. Trees were common
phallic symbols connected with the sun god.
the Ball shaped ornaments, representing the womb
were hung all around the phallus. Today, families
gather together in breathless anticipation and delight
when the obelisk (tree‑top ornament) is placed in its
position of honor. When you learn that it represents
the sexual union between the Babylonian mother-goddess
and her sun‑god, son/husband (Nimrod), it becomes an
object of disgust.”

CHRISTMAS TREE JEREMIAH
There is a condemnation in the Bible – of those
who cut down a tree for any kind of worship service.
(Jeremiah 10:2-8)

“…An idol is nothing but a tree
chopped down….They trim it with
tinsel and balls, and use hammer
and nails to keep it upright.”
(Jeremiah 10:3,4)(MSG)-BibleGateway

Idol worship under “green trees” is condemned
in the following Scriptures (1 Kings 14:22-23;
2 Kings 16:1-4; 2 Kings 17:9-10; Chronicles 28:4;
Isaiah 57:3-5; Jeremiah 2:20; 3:6-13; 17:1-2;
and Ezekiel 6:13)

“Their religion is worthless!
They chop down a tree….
cover it with silver and gold,
and then nail it down
so it won’t fall over.”

“Faithful men of God who knew and loved
the Scriptures of truth fought against the
mingling of paganism with the name of Christ.
They were valiant in opposing the entry of

Krampus in His Pocket

KRAMPUS IN HIS POCKET SANTA HOLDS TREE
Krampus in His Pocket

Krampus in His Pocket

In the Christmas Card above,
we see Krampus in Santa’s pocket.
Oh, maybe he is not in the pocket
after all.  Now he is under Santa’s
arm…  Perhaps it’s a toy Krampus
that Santa has tucked under his arm.
Can you see him ?  Can you see the
little Krampus creature with his
black horns and his little outstretched
arms ?

What a cozy relationship they seem
to have.  The toy Krampus all tucked
up under Santa’s warm arm.

The dark black Krampus prefigures
the devilish creature that supposedly
accompanies Santa on his visit to
the children at Christmas time.

Santa brings the rewards and gifts,
while Krampus punishes the bad children.

But the Krampus in his pocket appears
to be hidden. It seems to be obscure.
A person may not even see Krampus unless
he looks very closely.

So too, today, the people have to look
closely to see the evil origins of Christmas.
It’s not glaring or obvious – but rather
like a dark evil doll sticking out of Santa’s
pocket.  Hard to see –  But it’s there.

A Mutual Friendship
at “Christmas-Time”

krampus and santa in red

In Europe, Krampus  began to gain popularity
in Christmas cards portraying him in the late
nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Unlike the United States where only
Santa Claus keeps his list of “naughty
and nice” – where the penalty for being
a bad child is just a lump of coal in
one’s stocking. In Austrian culture the
job is split in two, with Saint Nicholas
taking care of the good children while
a goat-horned beast known as Krampus
will come to beat bad children with
rusty chains and take them away in his sack.

The word Krampus originates
from the Old High German word
for claw (Krampen). In the Alpine
regions, Krampus is represented
by a demon-like creature.

Images of Krampus usually show him
with a basket on his back used to
carry away bad children and dump them
into the pits of Hell.

“In the Alps, the relationship between
the Roman Catholic Church and paganism
has been an ambivalent one.  Some customs
were actively assimilated over the centuries.
Many customs have evolved into more modern
interpretations.”

A Look at one of the
“Lesser Known” aspects
of Christmas-Time

KRAMPUS AND CHRISTMAS PUNISHMENT

A Look at one of the
“Lesser Known” aspects
of Christmas-Time

A look at one of the lesser known
aspects of Christmas-time.

When children are bad these days
that usually means that they are
threatened with no presents when
Santa Claus does his rounds.
Punishment enough, one might think.
Some cultures, however, had less
lenient methods of dealing with
errant offspring.

One such deterrent was that Krampus
might pay them a visit.  Think of the
Grinch with a really, really bad temper
and you are getting close.  Add some
horns and more than a dash of an Orc
from Lord of the Rings and you are
just about there!

He has been around for a long time
and, as the old Christmas postcards
show, that he isn’t someone you would
really like to bump in to on a dark night!

Christmas is rife with Germanic
and Scandinavian traditions,
some of which, in different forms,
go back to pagan solstice celebrations
that predate Christianity’s arrival
in northern Europe. Evergreen trees,
Yule logs and mistletoe come to mind.

Long before people used mistletoe
to steal kisses from the unwary,
the plant was best known for killing
Baldr, the Norse god of light and beauty.

As years passed, these traditions
became part of Christmas, as did Krampus.
But Krampus was perhaps just a bit too
wild to settle down in what was becoming
an increasingly popular Christian holiday
season.

Everyone has heard of Santa.
But probably few have heard of his partner,
the “bad cop” in our little tale.
He goes by the name Krampus.

A scary, devilish, goat-like fellow
with long horns and a bad attitude,
Krampus originated centuries ago
in German-speaking areas of Europe,
where he was especially popular in
the Alps.

While Santa bribes children into good
behavior with the promise of presents,
Krampus keeps them in line with threats
of punishment. Santa carries a bag full
of toys. Krampus carries a bag filled
with naughty boys and girls.
“by the 1800s church leaders had
marginalized Krampus, making St. Nick
into a solo act.”
-National Geographic
Marc Silver

By the time German Christmas traditions
made their way to England, and later into
America, Krampus was no longer a major
part of the festivities.

Anglo-American Christmas celebrations
began adopting German customs like
Christmas trees in the 1800s, after
Great Britain had resorted to importing
monarchs from Germany. German practices
became even more prominent following
Queen Victoria’s marriage to the
German-born Prince Albert.

By the time Charles Dickens published
“A Christmas Carol” in 1843, Christmas
looked much like it does now, with no
Krampus in sight. Ebenezer Scrooge was
as close as they dared to come to the old
cranky and evil Krampus.

According to Marc Silver,
the Austrian state of Salzburg
now has more than 180 Krampus clubs
devoted to celebrating the long-lost
Christmas figure. Most have sprung
up in just the past 20 years.

But in America, Krampus is still just
a faint memory of the past – that has
been hidden so well, that most people
will deny that he ever existed on the
holiday that we now call Christmas.

CHRISTMAS AND THE TRUTH

CHRISTMAS AND THE TRUTH

THE  TRUTH  ABOUT  CHRISTMAS

“For this cause I was born,
and for this cause I have come into the world,
that I should bear witness to the truth”
(John 18:37).

While it is universally acknowledged that the customs
now associated with Christmas existed long before Christ’s
birth, it is not always noted that they were often
diametrically opposed to the teachings of the One whom
the holiday is supposed to honor.

Christmas has always been a holiday about myths,
legends and traditions rather than a memorial to any
real historical event. From the Santa Claus myth to
the misunderstanding that the time of the holiday is
the date of Christ’s birth, the celebration is filled
with fictional elements.

What did Jesus Christ say about
the purpose for his birth?

In the Gospel of John, Jesus is quoted as saying,

“For this cause I was born,
and for this cause I have come into the world,
that I should bear witness to the truth”
(John 18:37).

What would He say about being honored with a holiday
that endorses so many untruths?

It is very clear from scripture that Jesus was not
born in the winter. The shepherds who saw the angels
announcing His birth would not have been out in their
fields in December. The Palestinian winters were too cold.

“At Christmas-time Bethlehem is in the grip of frost,
and in the Promised Land no cattle would have been in
the fields in that temperature.”
-The Bible as History; by Werner Keller

It could be expected that many observe Christmas
because they believe that God and Jesus Christ want
them to. Yet, it is a paradox that Christ said He came
to establish truth, while the very day that supposedly
celebrates His arrival has become a day of myth and deceit.

Each Christmas, children are deceived about it.
They are told that Santa Claus flies his reindeer
from the North Pole to come down the chimney with
gifts-if they have behaved themselves. What message is
society sending to children about Jesus Christ
when such legends are associated with His birth?

No matter how good it may seem for the children,
from a human perspective, is often wrong from God’s
perspective. The Bible talks of “a way which seems right
to a man” that has grave consequences (Proverbs 14:12).

Does it matter which customs we use to worship God
and give honor to Jesus Christ – or are They content
with any attempt to give honor and praise?

Perhaps Jesus Christ surprised some of His followers
when He warned them that their worship of his Father
could be misguided.

In His famous Sermon on the Mount He said,

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’
shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father
in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

The statement emphasizes the importance of understanding
what God’s will is, instead of determining what we think
is best.

Jesus told His followers,
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him
must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).

The irony is that the most important festival kept
in Jesus’ honor has little to do with truth.

KRAMPUS REVEALS THE EVIL ORIGINS OF CHRISTMAS
Santa’s little helper,
known in Europe as “Krampus”
or  “Knecht Ruprecht”

“Considering Santa you cannot miss his “alter ego”,
who has followed him like a dark shadow since ancient
times. There is a devil, called Percht,  Bartl,
Krampus, Knecht Ruprecht, or Rotsohler,
accompanying Santa Claus
in the European Alps.
He shows the pre-Christian origin of this custom
as a daemon (demon) trabant
, who wears a costume
with horseshoe, basket, and chains, acting as a traditional
symbol for the coming of winter. We should mention here
also another figure: Ruebezahl, a German mythical, giant-
like person, who is a mixture of Krampus and Santa.”

KRAMPUS 4 FOUR

The German poet Theodor Storm created for Santa’s
Little Helper – Knecht Ruprecht  – a literary monument
that completely ignores the dark side of this “Krampus“:

“Enter Krampus or Grampus, who is a hairy devil
with a long tongue, a tail, and is often in chains
and carrying a switch.
Krampus accompanies Santa Claus
or Saint Nicholas
and as Santa disperses justice on
good children by rewarding them with gifts, so does
Krampus reward the bad people by beating them
with his switch of sharp sticks.”

 KRAMPUS –  SANTA’S  HELPER

“You know Santa: cheeks like a rose, nose like a cherry.
Now meet the Krampus, a boozy goat-horned menace
that whips children around Europe.”

“Santa… he’s got a list, he’s checking it twice,
and if you fall under the ‘naughty’ category
it’s switches and coals for you. But what child in America
is at all afraid of receiving a lump of coal under the
tree? What child even knows what a ‘switch’ is?
Alpine Europe, on the other hand, doesn’t have this
problem. This is because years ago St. Nick’s job was
split – while the jolly old elf delivered the goods,
an evil, goat-horned spirit called the Krampus brought
switches and bad dreams to the boys and girls of Austria,
southern Germany, Switzerland, and far northern Italy.”

St.  Nicholas and his Companion – Krampus
from an Italian Christmas Postcard – Dated 1899

“According to Mannfred Kapper of the Austrian
Cultural Forum, the Krampus was initially a side
note to the St. Nicholas story
a goat-faced eminence
noir who accompanied St. Nick on his December gift-giving
tours.
‘Nicholas and Krampus would come to the houses
together,’ Kapper said. ‘Nicholas gave the children presents
and Krampus beat them.’ But in the last 200 years, Krampus
has slowly developed an identity of his own. ‘Today Krampus
is more popular in the countryside, but if you come to the city
it is more St. Nicholas,’ he said.”

SANTA AND HIS EVIL HELPER CALLED KRAMPUS WITH HORNS LIKE A DEVIL
KRAMPUS – AND SAINT NICHOLAS

WHAT ABOUT SAINT NICHOLAS ?

“Most religious historians and experts in folklore
believe that there is no valid evidence to indicate
that St. Nicholas ever existed
 as a human.
They can find no evidence of him,
like they do with other members of the clergy
of the time. In fact, there are quite a few indicators
that his life story was simply recycled from those
of Pagan gods
.  So you see, the church leaders
at that time are responsible for a great fraud
upon society, which has never been corrected to this day,
of both Christ’s birthday and celebration
and that of Santa Claus.”

SANTA  IS –  THE  PAGAN  GOD  THOR

SANTA CLAUS AND THE PAGAN GOD THOR WITH FIREPLACE BEING SACRED TO BOTH

“Thor was the god of the peasants
and the common people. He was represented
as an elderly man, jovial and friendly,
of heavy build, with a long white beard.
His element was the fire, his color red.
The rumble and roar of thunder were said
to be caused by the rolling of his chariot,
for he alone among the gods
never rode on horseback
but drove in a chariot
drawn by
two white goats
called Cracker and Gnasher.
He was said to live in the ‘Northland’
where he had his palace among icebergs.
The fireplace in every home
was especially sacred to him,
and he was said to come down through the chimney
into his element, the fire.”
– -Francis X. Weiser,
Handbook of Christian Feasts and Customs
(New York: Harcourt, Brace and World, Inc., 1958)

This is just a small glimpse into the evil side of  Santa Claus
and the true origins of Christmas.  Satan candy coats his pagan
holidays – to trick Christians into celebrating them.

Think of the joy Satan feels –
as he has blinded the minds of mankind.

“Subtly…the old gods had entered their churches…
And they live still in the festivals of Christianity.”
-(Testament: The Bible and History, Romer,
1988, pp. 230-31).

Is any of this something
that Christ would want to be part of ?

Does Christmas bring Honor to Christ ?
Does Christmas give Honor to Jehovah God ?

The Many Faces of KRAMPUS

MANY FACES OF KRAMPUS AND ST NICK

Many people assume that the word “Santa” comes
from the word “Saint” – as he is supposed to be
contrived from the origin known as Saint Nicholas.

But where does the “Claus” come from.

SANTA  CLAWS – KRAMPUS  CLAWS

Where does the “Claus” (Claws) come from ?
SANTA CLAWS AND KRAMPUS CLAWS

The answer lies in the mythological legends that surround
the many Christmas traditions that have been adopted from
the many countries around the world.

These legends often have a dark and sinister beginning –
but have been converted by Christendom into benign-type
play fun – by those who chose to continue the Saturnalia
Celebrations, under the guise of being Christ’s Birthday.

And Claus (Claws) is just another one of those conversions.

Popular in the Alpine regions centuries ago,
Krampus (old High German for “claw”) is represented
by a black, horned, Gene-Simmons length-tongued,
demon looking sadist who accompanies Saint Nicholas
on his various travels.
With Krampus handling all the punishment,
Santa is free to oversee his elf factories
and deliver joy to the worthy.

The practice of wearing masks and scaring people
around the Winter Solstice (Dec. 21-25) was an
ancient one for Slavic and Germanic folks,
and some scholars feel this tradition carried
over into the modern form of Krampus when some
in the area converted to Christianity.

While the tradition was mainly regionalized,
Krampus had a world-wide resurgence in the 1800s
thanks in part to greeting cards that bared his
image.

In Austria, Germany, and other central and north
Europe regions, the figure of Krampus became a
focus of attention, with thousands of compelling
postcards designed and printed for season’s
greetings, many emblazoned with “Grüß Vom Krampus”
meaning – (Greeting from Krampus). The peak of the
Krampus card craze was from the turn of the century
to the beginning of WWI in 1914.

By the late 1800s, the Churches of Christendom
decided Krampus was too wild for their tastes, and Krampus
was removed from their Christmas celebrations.

However, it seems Krampus is making a recent comeback.
Amused by the horrifically graphic drawings of the
1800s postcards, Krampus clubs have begun to spring
up in the Austria/Germany area to rekindle this
Christmas tradition. The Austrian state of Salzburg
alone has 180 Krampus clubs, more than half set up
since 1990, according to a recent National Geographic
article.

Over the decades Santa Claus seems to have lost his
punishing edge.  The only faint recall we have to the
sordid past of Christmas is the Christmas jingle that
some still sing about how children had “better not
shout, and you better not cry, better not pout, I’m
telling you why – because Santa is coming to town and
is going to punish all naughty children.

Krampus has even begun to have popularity in the United
states.  This is so bizarre, because Krampus had
never been a U.S. feature of Christmas – but only a
remnant of Satanic folklore in Nordic European Countries.
Nevertheless – there are Krampus Celebrations popping
up all around America recently even in cities like
New York City and San Francisco.

Keep your eyes open – and you will see that it will
become more and more obvious that Christmas was never
a Christian holiday and never had anything to do with
Christ.  Not then and Not now.  Christ was NOT born
in December, Early Christians and Jews condemned
Birthday celebrations as being heathen and wrong.
None of the Apostles or early Christians ever observed
December as anything, but warned each other to avoid
Holly wreaths, and evergreen decorations in their home,
lest they be identified with the pagans who worshipped
their sun-gods on the Saturnalia at the Winter Solstice
of December 25th.

Krampus, shopping, santa, and tree worship are quickly
taking over this ancient demonic holiday in subtle ways
that the majority of people in the world are aware of,
but just don’t care -because the reason for the season
is “Pleasure” and not Christ.

Krampus – Santa’s Evil Helper

Krampus – Santa’s Evil Helper

Krampus – Santa’s Evil Helper

“In Hungary, there are two key Christmas figures:
there is Mikulás (St. Nick) and Krampusz.
St. Nick is a nice-ish guy who dresses in
either red or white and gives out candies or
presents. He also has a sidekick named Krampusz
who punishes bad children by beating them or
taking them away. It’s interesting to see that
Hungarians have not done away with badness
completely as has been done in North America.
Also, it’s still possible to suggest in public
that a bad child might get beaten (or taken away)
which, as we know, is not possible in Canada.
The Krampus is one of those quirky survivors
of a pagan tradition that preceded Christianity,
much like Santa himself. Popular to this day in
Austria and Eastern Europe, the Krampus was
initially a side note to the St. Nicholas story,
a goat-faced dark figure who accompanied St. Nick
on his December gift-giving tours. St. Nicholas
and Krampus would come to the houses together;
Nicholas gave the children presents and Krampus
beat them in a sort of good-cop bad-cop way
Santa Claus is the Christianization of a few
traditional winter solstice figures, who morphed
into St. Nicholas after the Catholics swarmed into
Austria. Santa was most heavily influenced by the
Norse god Thor, who had a long white beard and
cheerfully rode a flying chariot. The enemy of
good in Norse mythology was Loki, a figure usually
depicted as falling somewhere in the range between
Satan himself and Carrot Top. Krampus is the
new Loki.”

ran this intertwined history of Krampus
and Santa Claus.

“I’ve just come back from a holiday in Vienna,
and in that beautiful city the windows of the
sumptuous confectioners’ shops are full of
chocolate Santas  – and, surprisingly, they
also have chocolate demons.  In folk-lore from
that part of Austria, a demon called Krampus
is supposed to go around with Santa.
Instead of bringing a sack, full of presents
for good little children, Krampus brings a
disappointing sackful of coal for the naughty ones.
And the naughtiest of them all get carried away
in Krampus’s sack, never to be seen again.
The story makes Viennese children behave
themselves this time of year, anyway.”

“He might look like Satan but he is Krampus.
Sometimes seen as Santa’s helper, he is the
Christmas hardass. He is the bad cop to
Santa’s good cop. You’ll be wishing for coal
in your stocking if this guy finds out you’ve
been naughty. Krampus doesn’t fool around.
He’ll beat you, eat you and defeat you.
So kids, on Christmas Eve, when you hear
those hooves scraping upon your roof, beware.
They might not belong to happy little reindeer
and a fat old elf. Oh no. They might belong
to Krampus himself.”

“Krampus”

“New to this year’s So Many Santas exhibit
is the Krampus, a kind of satanic Santa sidekick
from Austria. Tradition dictates that St. Nikolaus
went to the houses to visit good children and
give them small presents such as fruits and sweets.
St. Nikolaus was accompanied by Krampus, a horned,
troll-like associate who punished wicked kids
by hitting them with his stick, or even tossing
the bad kids into the sack on his back, to carry
them off to hell. Since the Krampusnacht
(Krampus night) is supposed to illustrate
the darker side of Christmas festivities,
being good for goodness’ sake seems like the
smart thing for Austrian kids. The Krampus craze
isn’t solely confined to Austria, however;
he also goes by various names and incarnations
around Europe, such as the shaggy horned monster
in Bavaria known as the Klaubauf.”

“According to Owls Head artisan Janie Garlow,
the grimmer side of the yuletide is precisely
what Onondaga County Parks had in mind.
“They told us they wanted the dark side
of Christmas.”  The artists wanted to shy away
from the more stereotyped visual traits of the devil,
Garlow says, “We tried to find something a little
more palatable to everyone.” After extensive
research at the library and on the Internet,
Garlow and Mead came up with their Krampus
conception, which features a 20-inch-high mask,
sculpted with polymer clay and dressed in fur,
and adorned with horns, fangs and a long,
red tongue that would be the envy of Kiss rocker
Gene Simmons.”

“I think it’s safe to assume that not many
of my fellow Americans associate Christmas
with Krampus. Who’s Krampus, you ask?
Why, the fur-covered devil who travels with
St. Nick of course. That’s right, in many
Christmas traditions, Kris Kringle travels
around the world with a villainous demon
as a sidekick. Thankfully, the demon is chained
to stop him from devouring little children.
In addition to Santa’s underworld partner,
he’s got – a buddy named Ruprecht who is
most popular in Germany.  He goes along for
the ride to beat young boys and girls with a rod
if they misbehave. Kind of changes the meaning of
being good for goodness’ sake.  Did I mention
that Santa also travels with a serial killer?
In France at least. Pere Fouettard was a butcher
who murdered three children and is sentenced to
follow St. Nick as punishment. Ah, feel the
Christmas magic…”

The Krampus Who Stole Christmas
Sunday December 11th, 2005

In Austria, the figure is known as Krampus,
and is possibly the darkest figure of the lot.
He is a furry, long-tongued creature sporting
an enormous pair of goat’s horns, making him
an obvious Pan/Satan figure. He whips children
with a switch, or puts them in a basket on his
back and carries them to away. He has resonances
in an ancient Germanic legend, which tells a story
of a holy man and a demon. The demon terrorized
the land by slithering down chimneys at night,
slaughtering children — disemboweling them,
stuffing them up the flue, or taking them away
in a sack. The holy man tricked the demon and
caught it with magical shackles, and thereafter
forced it to obey his orders. Nowadays the holy
man has been associated with Santa, and the demon
with the Krampus.

“A cottage industry in Austria from Victorian times
through the present has been the production of
Krampus postcards to commemorate the holiday season.
These tend to feature Krampus and his prodigious
tongue assailing various Betti Page-type pinup girls
or even pure-hearted Austrian housefraus with his
lecherous advances.”

Krampus is a popular figure in Austria,
having his own night on December 5th.
Children participate in Krampus runs,
where they dress in black rags and chains,
and terrorize people on the streets and the
sledding hills. Among adults, “Krampusnacht”
has become associated with drinking and excess,
with many people holding parties. At some point
people dressed as Krampus will enter and attack
the partygoers… if anybody’s still sober enough
to notice. Finally, Krampus postcards are popular
at that time. Particularly popular are ones showing
the Krampus leering at young women — as he is a
symbol of lust and lechery as well as everything
else.

What have we learnt from all this study of Santa?

Well, that Santa is merely the most modern
incarnation of a figure who appears to be older
than written records can trace; a figure who has
left widespread and highly variant figures all over
Europe and beyond. He predates his namesake
St. Nicholas for sure, he predates Christianity,
and he predates Coca Cola by a long way.
So if anybody tells you that Santa was invented
by the Coca Cola company in the 20th century,
you can now quite thoroughly correct them!

DOES CHRIST BELONG IN CHRISTMAS?

DOES CHRIST BELONG IN CHRISTMAS 2
DOES  CHRIST  BELONG
IN  CHRISTMAS ?

Does Christ Belong in Christmas ?
….

The Facts about Christmas don’t seem to Fit
the Jewish Messiah- known as Jesus Christ.
The Date is Wrong,  the setting is pagan,
the traditions are pagan,  the winter season
doesn’t fit the Bible story,  the commercialism
and shopping is opposite of Christ’s teachings,
and everything about Christmas seems to
oppose what he taught.
….

The very first  Christians did not celebrate
his birth.  Jesus and the apostles did not
celebrate Christ’s birth either.

….
So with all this negative information about
Christmas – why would we still try to put
Christ into this holiday?   Does he belong
there ?   Would he want to be a part of the
Christmas Holiday ?
….

Christians need to pay attention to the fact
that celebrations of Christmas simply don’t
have anything to do with Jesus. Consider some
of the most popular Christmas traditions
erecting and decorating a tree, hanging wreaths
sending cards, drinking eggnog, giving presents,
hanging mistletoe… where is Christ in all
of this?  Most of it is pagan. It’s no wonder
that many Christians throughout history have
objected to Christmas celebrations. At one time,
celebrating Christmas was even illegal among
the Puritans.
….

“Christmas was originally to honor the sun
and other gods around the time of the winter
solstice… The origins of Christmas actually
contradict true Christianity.  Why should we
believe that Jesus was born on Dec. 25 when
the Bible itself plainly contradicts this
notion?”

….

Do you think God accepts something
just because you think your intentions
are good?  You think God is not concerned
about the details of where Christmas
originated?
….

Christmas also represents hypocrisy,
the same kind of hypocrisy the Pharisees
were guilty of when they broke God’s
commandments to keep their traditions.
We are hypocrites if we claim to honor
Christ by disobeying God’s command in
Deuteronomy 12:29-32.

God directly commands His people NOT to
do what men have done with Christmas –
appropriate pagan customs into the
worship of God.

THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRISTMAS AND KRAMPUS WILL SET YOU FREE

KRAMPUS AND SAINT NICK
Knowing the truth about Krampus and other
Religious Falsehoods – will set you free.

For many years people lived in fear of Krampus,
especially in European Countries.  Children were
taught that at Christmas time – that an Santa Claus
had an Evil Companion known by many different
names, such as “Krampus”.  These children were told
to be good – not to pout and not to cry – because the
evil Krampus would whip or punish them.  Some
countries even taught the children that Krampus would
take them away and never bring them back if they
were naughty.   Krampus became known as the “Holiday
Devil”.   Even to this day, there are many Europeans
that still teach this as part of their Christmas Festivities.

“The hunger for a darker Xmas holiday has made
the evil Santa Claus character a staple of pop
culture, as seen in movies such as Rare Exports,
The Nightmare Before Christmas, books such as
Dean Koontz’s Santa’s Twin and many others.”
— Who in Hell is Krampus?
Home of the Christmas Devil

A resurgence of Saturnalian rituals of December 25th
and animistic practices during the winter season
is evident in Santarchy, a flash-mob phenomenon
started in 1994 on America’s west coast now enacted
in many countries including Korea, Norway and Ireland.

On selected days in early December, large crowds of
costumed Santa Clauses descend en masse on public
squares and shopping centers to confound, amuse and
frighten spectators.

A new appreciation of ancient traditions that
smoulder in the dark recesses of holiday revelry
continues to rise around the world. Krampus, with
his horns, hooves and tongue, embodies this revived
spirit of the Xmas season!

FREEDOM  FROM  FEAR

“….the truth will set you free.”

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

“….the truth will set you free.”

The Truth Will Set You Free
Free From What ?

TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE
The Truth Will Set You Free
Free From What ?

There are so many types of Freedom that we just
take for granted.  Many people, before learning the
truth as written in the Bible – were slaves to various
things – without really knowing it.

Many people think that by ignoring God and refusing
to follow any rules or principles set out in the Bible –
That they are experiencing True Freedom in its most
basic form.

Unfortunately these same people that ignore God,
find themselves enslaved to various worldly things
and don’t even realize it.

A Slave to Sin

“…For as long as we lived that old way of life,
doing whatever we felt we could get away with,
sin was calling most of the shots….”
(Romans 7:4)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“You know well enough from your own experience
that there are some acts of so-called freedom
that destroy freedom. Offer yourselves to sin,
for instance, and it’s your last free act…”
(Romans 6:15)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“I’m using this freedom language because
it’s easy to picture.  You can readily recall,
can’t you, how at one time the more you did just
what you felt like doing—not caring about others,
not caring about God—the worse your life became
and the less freedom you had?
And how much different is it now as you live
in God’s freedom, your lives healed and expansive
in holiness?”
(Romans 6:18-20)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“It is obvious what kind of life develops
out of trying to get your own way all the time:
repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking
accumulation of mental and emotional garbage;
frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness;
trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid
loneliness; cutthroat competition;
all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants;
a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved;
divided homes and divided lives;
small-minded and lopsided pursuits;
the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone
into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable
addictions; ugly parodies of community.
and I could go on.  This isn’t the first time
that I have warned you, you know.
If you use your freedom this way,
you will not inherit God’s kingdom.”
(Galatians 5:18-20)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“….They promise…freedom,
but they themselves are slaves of corruption,
for if they’re addicted to corruption
—and they are— then they are enslaved.”
(2Peter 2:17)(MSG)-BibleGateway
“They promise freedom,
but they themselves are slaves of sin
and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever
controls you.”
(2Peter 2:19)(NLT)-BibleGateway

The Most Obvious Freedom

FREEDOM  FROM  SIN  AND  DEATH

The Most Obvious Freedom that Bible knowledge gives,
is Freedom From Sin and Death.

Jesus promised his followers that by obeying his Father,
and following Jesus – we could be released from the wages
of sin – and eventually reap everlasting Life.

…The decisive issue – is whether they obey
my Father in heaven.”
(Matthew 7:21)(NLT)-BibleGateway

Jehovah Gives Freedom –
Through Christ

Jehovah God – “He is so rich in kindness and grace
that he purchased our freedom
with the blood of his Son…”
(Ephesians 1:7)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes;
And I shall keep it unto the end.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law;
Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
So shall I observe thy law continually
For ever and ever.  And I shall walk at liberty;
For I have sought thy precepts.”
(Psalm 119:33,34,44,45)(ASV)-BibleGateway
Oh Jehovah – “I have gained perfect freedom
by following your teachings.”
(Psalm 119:45)(CEV)-BibleGateway

“God pays for each slave’s freedom;
no one who runs to him loses out.”
(Psalm 34:22)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“I will say to the prisoners,
‘Come out in freedom,’
and to those in darkness,
‘Come into the light.’ ”
(Isaiah 49:9)(NLT)-BibleGateway
Of Jesus it was said –
“The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me;
because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach
good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison
to them that are bound; ”
(Isaiah 61:1)(ASV)-BibleGateway

“So the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed him,
and he opened the scroll and found the place where
it was written: “Jehovah’s spirit is upon me,
because he anointed me to declare good news
to the poor, he sent me forth to preach a release
(Freedom) to the captives and a recovery of sight
to the blind, to send the crushed ones away with a
release (Freedom),  to preach Jehovah’s acceptable
year.” With that he rolled up the scroll,
handed it back to the attendant and sat down;
and the eyes of all in the synagogue were intently
fixed upon him.  Then he started to say to them:
“Today this scripture that YOU just heard
is fulfilled.”
(Luke 4:17-21)(NWT)

“….to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
(Isaiah 61:1)(NIV)-BibleGateway

“…the creation itself will be liberated
from its bondage to decay
and brought into the glorious freedom
of the children of God.”
(Romans 8:21)(NIV)-BibleGateway

“,,,under your new Master
you’re going to experience a marvelous freedom
you would never have dreamed of….”
(1Corinthians 7:20)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“But the Scriptures declare that
we are all prisoners of sin,
so we receive God’s promise of freedom
only by believing in Jesus Christ.”
(Galatians 3:22)(NLT)-BibleGateway

So take your stand!
Never again let anyone put a harness
of slavery on you.”

we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”

How Should We Exercise Our Freedom
After Learning the Bible’s Truths ?

“…Exercise your freedom by serving God,
not by breaking the rules…”
(1Peter 2:13)(MSG)-BibleGAteway
“…you must NOT use your freedom
as an excuse for doing wrong.”
(1Peter2:16)(CEV)-BibleGateway

Are You Still Enslaved –
After Learning Bible Truths ?

There are some people who claim to embrace the
life-giving FREEDOM that the truth provides –
and yet they continue to enslave themselves with
Worldly pursuits, dishonest practices, and acts that
the Bible condemns.

They fail to recognize  that – by obeying the truth in
The Bible – they would be set free from the bad effects
of enslavement to many unnecessary and harmful things.

THE  TRUTH  WILL  SET  YOU  FREE  FROM —

1. Free From The effects of immoral and illegal life styles – including
a.  freedom from sexually transmitted diseases
b.  freedom from unwanted pregnancies
c.  freedom from the pain of divorce and broken families
d.  freedom from the effects of committing crimes or evil acts
2.  Free From Fear of Pagan and man-made religious doctrines.
a.  no more fear of endless torment in a mythical hellfire
b.  no more fear of death – and the uncertainties of not knowing
the truth about the condition of the dead.
c. no more fear of purgatory and other mythical beliefs
d.  no more despair or feeling predestined to fail, etc.
3. Free from enslavement to quasi-pagan holidays
4. Free from caring what the world thinks anymore
5. Free from peer pressure to perform immoral or illegal acts.
6.  Free  from the lies of pagan Rome that have haunted Christendom
for centuries.
7. Freedom from the fears of what the future holds,
since the Bible assures that all good people will live on a paradise earth.
8. Free from fear of terrorism and political unrest –
since the Bible tells us that Christ is going to take over the rule
of the entire inhabited earth.
9. Free from the fear of a nuclear holocaust –
since the Bible assures us that God will step in at just the right time.
10. Free from the fear of man – and what he can do to us –
since the Bible assures us that Jehovah is watching over all those
who love him.
11. Free from the anxieties of Life, because Christ will soon return.
12. Free from the worries of tomorrow – because we know what God
has in store for those who love him.

Worldly Holidays —  Freedom or Slavery ?

There are many people that have been celebrating
holidays each year – without realizing that their pagan
origins and pagan content would make them wrong –
based on God’s rules and principals.

“Get rid of all your pagan idols,
purify yourselves, and put on clean clothing.”
(Genesis 35:2)(NLT)-BibleGateway
“Do NOT worship the Lord your God
in the way these pagan peoples worship their gods.”
(Deuteronomy 12:4)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“…The people imitated the detestable practices
of the pagan nations…”
(1Kings 14:24)(NLT)-BibleGAteway

“On that day of judgment,”says the Lord,
I will punish…all those following pagan customs.”
(Zephaniah 1:8)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“…They were well-warned:
God said, “Don’t!” but they did it anyway…”
(2Kings 17:15)(MSG)-BibleGateway

They ignore these pagan trappings and do them anyway.
They insist that theirs is the freedom to worship God,
in anyway that they choose.  But at what cost ?
What Freedom.?   Watch these people as they are enslaved
to these popular worldly holidays.  They spend weeks, and
even months in preparation.  They become exhausted,
not only financially, but even mentally and physically.

They get themselves into tremendous debt that they often
cannot afford.  They spend many hours shopping for their
gifts – only to have the recipient act ungrateful or even
displeased with them.  Tempers run hot – as late hours
are kept in preparation – with all the wrapping, decorating,
cooking, baking, cleaning, and arranging of events.

Couples are seen fighting during the holidays, even in public,
Tempers and nerves become frazzled.  Family expenses are
stretched to the limit and even beyond..   The kids are cranky
and unruly during these long hours of shopping and preparation.
No one is getting enough sleep or rest..

Greed and comparison of gifts brings out jealousy and anger
in some people.  And the list goes on.  And when it’s all over –
It’s obvious that the holidays have held many in a slave-like
state for weeks and months in preparation for all the so-called
“Merry Making”.

“Time’s up. My Judgment Day is near:
…I will punish those…Who introduce pagan
prayers and practices; And I’ll punish all who
import pagan superstitions…On Judgment Day…
I’ll find and punish those who are sitting it out,
fat and lazy, amusing themselves and taking it easy,
Who think, ‘God doesn’t do anything, good or bad.
He isn’t involved, so neither are we.’ But just wait.
They’ll lose everything they have…”
(Zephaniah 1:6-8)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“The early Christians discouraged the use of
evergreen decorations in Christian homes and
assemblies, because their display had long been
associated with heathen festivals.”
-Campbell ; The Story of Christmas

the Jews and early christians –
“regarded birthday celebrations as part
of idolatrous worship…”
-M’Clintock & Strong’s Cyclopedia
(Vol. I, p. 817)

“Gift Giving – during the Roman festival of Saturnalia,
gifts were given as good luck emblems and houses were
decorated with greenery.  The early Christians, however,
frowned on this pagan ritual, and wouldn’t have any part of it.”

Slaves To Worldly Holidays –

“But now that you know God.
Even better, now that God knows you.
So why are you turning back to those weak
and worthless beliefs? Do you want to be
slaves to them all over again?
You are observing special days and months
and seasons and years! I am afraid for you.
I am afraid that somehow I have wasted
my efforts on you.”
(Galatians 4:9-11)(NIRV)-BibleGateway

RETURNING  TO  SLAVERY –
A  WARNING

“So now that you know God – or should I say,
now that God knows you, why do you want to go
back again and become slaves once more to the
weak and useless spiritual principles of this world?
You are trying to earn favor with God by observing
certain days or months or seasons or years.
I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you
was for nothing.”
(Galatians 4:9-11)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“But now that you know God,
or better still, that God knows you.
How can you turn back and become the slaves
of those weak and pitiful powers?
You even celebrate certain days, months, seasons,
and years. I am afraid I have wasted my time
working with you.”
(Galatians 4:9-11)(CEV)-BibleGateway

FREEDOM  FROM  WORLDLY  PURSUITS

Every one is trying to change the world.
They vote and pledge allegiance to the different
governments of the world.  Many feel that mankind
can and will – clean up the world’s problems and
restore peace to the earth.

This is not a thought of a true Christian –
for Jesus himself refused to get involved with
worldly politics and so did his apostles and
the earliest of his followers.

If we truly believe the promises that Christ made
while he was on the earth – We would show our faith
in him – looking to him and his Father for mankind’s
solutions.

The solution to the earth’s turmoil was foretold
not only by Christ but also by the prophets of Jehovah
God.   When we base our hope on those promises –
rather than upon mankind – we are exhibiting strong
Faith in the promises made by God himself.

“For evil-doers shall be cut off;
But those that wait for Jehovah,
they shall inherit the earth.
For just a little while longer,
and the wicked ones shall be no more
:
Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place,
and he shall not be.
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves
in the abundance of peace…
The righteous shall inherit the earth,
And dwell therein for ever…
Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way,
And he will exalt thee to inherit the earth;
When the wicked are cut off,
thou shalt see it.”
(Psalm 37:9-11,29,34)(ASV)-BibleGateway

The World’s Friendship – or God’s Friendship
You have to choose – One or The Other
You can NOT have them both

“You adulterous people,
don’t you know that friendship with the world
is hatred toward God?
Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world
becomes an enemy of God.
(James 4:4)(NIV)-BibleGateway

“You people aren’t faithful to God!
Don’t you know that if you love the world,
you are God’s enemies?
And if you decide to be a friend of the world,
you make yourself an enemy of God.”
(James 4:4)(CEV)-BibleGateway

“Do not love the world or anything in the world.
If anyone loves the world,
the Father’s love is not in him.”
(1John 2:15)(CEV)-BibleGateway

Hated by the World –
Because you are Different

“Now your former friends
wonder why you have stopped
running around with them,
and they curse you for it.”
(1Peter 4:4)(CEV)-BibleGateway

“Those who do not know God
are surprised you do not join them
in the sinful things they do.
They laugh at you and say bad things against you.
The end of the world is near.
You must be the boss over your own mind…”
(1Peter 4:4,7)(NLV)-BibleGateway

“But remember…that the apostles of our Master,
Jesus Christ, told us this would happen:
“In the last days there will be people
who don’t take these things seriously anymore.
They’ll treat them like a joke…
These are the ones who are…thinking only
of themselves. There’s nothing to them,
no sign of the Spirit!
(Jude 1:17-19)(MSG)-BibleGateway

Jesus Said –

All men will hate you because of me,
but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. ”
(Matthew 10:22)(NIV)-BibleGateway

“If the world hates you,
keep in mind that it hated me first.”
(John 15:18)(NIV)-BibleGateway

Jesus Said :

“…they have hated both me and my Father…”
(Matthew 15:24)(NIV)-BibleGateway

In Prayer to Jehovah
Jesus Said :

“…Jesus…looked toward heaven
and prayed :
‘I have given them “YOUR” WORD
and the world has hated them,
for they are not of the world
any more than I am of the world.’ “

(John 17:1,14)(NIV)-BibleGateway

This World is Passing Away

“…For this world in its present form
is passing away.”
(1Corinthians 7:31)(NIV)-BibleGateway

“Deal as sparingly as possible with the
things the world thrusts on you. This world
as you see it is on its way out.”
(1Corinthians 7:31)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“…For the outward form of this world –
the present world order – is passing away.”
(1Corinthians 7:31)(AMP)-BibleGateway

live as if the world has no hold on you.
The way of this world will soon be gone.
I want you to be free from the cares
of this world.”
(1Corinthians 7:31,32)(NLV)-BibleGateway

“And this world is fading away,
along with everything it craves.
But if you do the will of God,
you will live forever.”
(1John 2:17)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“The world and all its desires
will pass away.
But the man who obeys God
and does what He wants done
will live forever.”
(1John 2:17)(NLV)-BibleGateway

Christ said – “Why do you call me -‘Lord, Lord’,
but do Not do what I say?”

that I am your Lord,
when you refuse to do what I say?”

Christmas Excuses
Save Them For Christ

Save Your Excuses

Save your excuses
don’t waste them on me
I’m only a messenger
with words that are free

Oh, sure t’would be nice
if all would enjoy
the invites of Jesus
if all would employ

The name of his Father
and the joys and the hope
of the New Earth before us
t’would help us to cope

with the evils around us
the violence and crime
if we focused our hearts
and our thoughts and our mind

on the Kingdom’s pure blessings
the Bible’s pure words
But most will reject them
the scriptures they’ve heard

For Jesus foretold
that most would not heed
that most would be goats
refusing his lead

They’d chose the wide road
that leads to destruction
a way that is easy
with no rules or instruction

They’d say they love Jesus
but refuse to obey
their worship is futile
they do it their way

Ignoring God’s counsel
they do as they please
they fake their religion
as they pray on their knees

But God can’t be mocked
and neither can Christ
you can’t fool our maker
or His son who is wise

If you think your excuses
are all that you’ll need
when Christ does return
to tear out the weeds

Your justifications for
ignoring his words,
may not be acceptable
when judgment is heard

For the limits of God
and what He’ll accept
were recorded in scripture
lest we should forget

So save your excuses
discover and learn
what God thinks about them
soon Christ will return

“…At the time that God
has already decided,
he will send Jesus Christ
back again.”
(1Timothy 6:15)(CEV)-BibleGateway

Excuses

“…they have no excuse whatsoever
for not knowing God.”
(Romans 1:20)(NLT)-BibleGateway

“They have no excuse;
the way that God works is well-known.”

Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven,
let it be done exactly…”
(Ezra 7:6,23)(ASV)-BibleGateway

The Wide Road to Destruction

“Go in through the narrow gate.
The gate to destruction is wide,
and the road that leads there is easy to follow.
A lot of people go through that gate.
But the gate to life is very narrow.
The road that leads there
is so hard to follow
that only a few people find it.”
(Matthew 7:13,14)(CEV)-BibleGateway

“Go in through the narrow gate.

A lot of people go through that gate.

“Enter by the narrow gate.
For the gate is wide and the way
is “easy” that leads to destruction

and those who enter by it are many.
For the gate is narrow and the way

and those who find it are few.”

A Fake Religious Veneer

…….
“…in the last days…
Instead of loving God,
they will love pleasure.
Even though they will make a show
of being religious,
their religion won’t be real.

but they will reject the power
that could make them godly.

Warning Examples
of Those Who Gave Excuses

…….

as examples for us.
They were written down to warn us,
who live at the time when this age
is drawing to a close.”
(1Corinthians 10:11)(NLT)-BibleGateway

..
“Just as written in God’s revelation to Moses,
the catastrophe was total. Nothing was held back.
We kept at our sinning, never giving you a second
thought, oblivious to your clear warning.”
(Daniel 9:13)(MSG)-BibleGateway

..
“These are all warning markers–DANGER!-
in our history books, written down so that we
don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the
story are parallel–they at the beginning,
we at the end–and we are just as capable of
messing it up as they were.”
(1Corinthians 10:11)(MSG)-BibleGateway

“These things happened to them
as a warning to us.
All this was written in the Scriptures

God Cannot be Fooled or Mocked

“Do not be deceived:
God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he sows.
The one who sows to please his sinful nature,
from that nature will reap destruction;
the one who sows to please the Spirit,
from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
(Galatians 6:7,8) (NIV) -BibleGateway

“God will give to each person
according to what he has done.”
(Romans 2:6 ) (NIV) -BibleGateway

Do not merely listen to the word,

“In the past God overlooked such ignorance,
but now he commands all people everywhere
to repent. For he has set a day when he will
judge the world with justice by the man that

The Christmas Excuse

“the Church father Origen was proclaiming it
heathenish to celebrate Christ’s birthday…
The day was not even known to be Christ’s birthday.
It was merely AN EXCUSE to continue
the customs of the pagan Saturnalia.”
-(Gerard and Patricia Del Re,
The Christmas Almanac p. 20).

“GOD says we must NOT worship Him according
to the “dictates of our own conscience”
The Bible says God will NOT accept people
who take a pagan custom or manner of worship
and try to honor Christ with it.”

by Herbert W. Armstrong; 1974

…….

“The man…COMPROMISES with worldlings,
and to quiet his own conscience, he invents
a theory (excuses) by which such compromises are justified,
even commended. He receives the praises of the
judicious, but he has, in truth, gone over to the enemy.”

“Using Christmas as an excuse
They have combined pagan ideas, beliefs
and practices with Christianity – without
examining to see whether God approves.”
-Christmas, Syncretism and Presumption
by John W. Ritenbaugh; December 2001

…….

“But what has happened through the centuries?
People have felt free to expand their religious
horizons into areas of thinking far removed from
the orthodox teachings of the Bible.
They say, “Isn’t this idea interesting?
Wouldn’t it be good if Christianity absorbed this?
Look at the benefits it would bring!”
Thus, they throw away the holy days and the Sabbath,
but accept pagan holidays, the trinity,
and heaven and hell. Through the centuries,
the truth is forgotten, and the false ideas that sprang
from human reason become a major part of the religion.”

The Easter Excuse
…….

“There in ancient Babylon were born the false beliefs
that have wormed their way into almost every religion.
Even today millions and millions of people who may want
to live according to the right ways are not aware that
their manner of worship follows very closely that of
ancient idol worship and pagan rites begun at Babel.
People today, calling themselves Christians, keep the
Babylonian festivals of the pagan Solstice at Christmas
and the pagan observance of Easter, which is the
festival of Ishtar (the ancient fertility goddess of Babylon).”

The Excuse
to Ignore Jehovah God

…….

“The Council of Nicea
was a pivotal event in the history of Christianity.
The sudden adoption of a quasi-philosophic term
to define the historic Jesus as equal to God
was a major departure from scripture
Further, the use of this term
in a Creed meant that, from 325 on,
Nicenes could and did proclaim other
dogmas
that have no basis in Scripture.”

Ben H. Swett; 1998
