“Christmas” Represents the Opposite
of all that Christ Taught
Christmas is not at all like Christ.
In fact Christmas stands for everything
that Jesus was against. Jesus emphasized living
a “simple” life. He made statements showing his
viewpoint about storing up material things.
Jesus was not a collector of treasures. He neither
gave nor received gifts. He told people to get rid
of their posessions – and instead to Follow him.
Jesus emphasis was not on trinkets and worldly
goods, but rather on sharing the good news of his
coming Kingdom that would rid the earth of all
problems. Jesus was spiritually minded – NOT
Materially minded – and he stressed the importance
of his followers being just like him.
Jesus said, “Stop making the house of my Father
into a house of merchandise! ”

“It’s a commonplace to observe that depressed people
are more depressed around Christmas. It is not a

and it’s Quasi-Pagan Holidays
Jesus told his followers that they should be no part
of the world, just as he was no part of the world.

the world would love you as one of its own.

along with everything it craves.
But if you do the will of God,
you will live forever.”
